Technology…I Have All I Need (I Hope)…
May 14, 2008 by Godfather
Ok, I admit it, I am a technology geek. I love the advances and I love seeing what is new. So why am I saying “I have all I need?” Well, despite all the advances…
I don’t type any faster
I don’t print any faster
I don’t move the mouse any faster
I don’t surf the net any faster
I don’t balance my checkbook any faster
I don’t play solitaire any faster
Now, that does not mean I have not gone out and stood in line to purchase the latest and greatest computers. I just wonder why I do because of all the above reasons.
Just to clarify, I am a Mac person. I have been for about 4 years now and probably should have switched (from a PC) long before then. They run, they look good, they are fast; Did I mention they run?
For the first time I am not jumping to the latest and greatest computer - which in this case is the Apple Air. I don’t know why I don’t, I think it is almost as thin as a penny and probably wires straight to my brain; but I am done.
Without going into all the details (there are technology blogs for that) here is a funny video someone sent me. When I want to buy a new computer I just need to remember this…

Great post, great video, and I completely agree. I’d rather my Mac have a little more power/space than be trendy. Also, I enjoy not paying scads extra for a CD drive, ethernet adapter, etc.
Thanks for the comments!
Yea, pound for pound, the Air (no CD drive, no removable battery, etc) does not come close to the Macbook Pro. ~
Good post. You are so right.
Bookmarked this site. Nice variety. Thanks.
I guess I am the oddball here, I have been on an hp for over 8 years and am completely satisfied. I guess I will meet up with a Mac some day and then we’ll see who the old boy likes, then. Til then I am stuck here in hp-ville (by the way, the hp people are rotten to the core when it comes to support, I learned that the hard way some time ago - just thought I’d throw that in for good measure)
Good article, and cool video, thanks

I do like the Customer Service Mac has. I was with PC from the beginning and switched over around 2002. Once they came up with Office for Mac I never looked back.
No Blue screens of death, no virus warning, it just plain works. - Go figure.
LOL- Mine won’t fit in an envelope. But it works!
